K9 WebSmart Courses - Outline

WELCOME to K9 Websmart Courses Online

We provide access to an online educational facility that is monitored and administrated by experienced nationally certified dog trainers and nationally certified assessors with support from very experienced and qualified web developers and program creators. Our goal is to provide the student with an enjoyable E-Learning experience. Delivered via a virtual classroom the courses are full of relevant content and are rich in easy to follow multimedia presentations. Each course is a prerequisite for the next course so students can easily follow a pathway of structured learning.

K9 SOKKS - MPTS Course

This course is a the first step in the understanding and implementation of the product called SOKKS and learning its roll in detection dog training. It provides the user with new skills, understanding and solutions in odour recognition and development using SOKKS Micro Particle Training Systems. This course is a must for first time users of SOKKS.

We have designed the below K9 WebSmart Courses to offer the opportunity of continual online learning and support to our K9 Centre dog training franchisees.

These courses will give our franchisees every chance of learning and to continue developing the necessary skills to become an experienced, and certified dog trainer.

What Courses are offered ?

K9 WebSmart Foundation Course

This course is a required first step to learning about training dogs. It provides the student with skills, understanding and solutions in pup development, basic obedience, problem solving, basic dog psychology and canine health, welfare and maintenance. The participant can apply the knowledge learnt to training any sound, balanced dog in obedience.

K9 WebSmart Pup Development (Professional)

This course is designed for those that are interested in working with pups and their owners in a one-on-one or class situation. It provides the student with the skills necessary to instruct in either a private lesson or a group lesson format at pup development level only. It is ideal for those wanting to offer services in pup training.

K9 WebSmart Lifestyle Obedience (Professional) 

This course takes the Foundation Course to the next level. It incorporates learning in the more extreme areas of dog obedience problem solving and training. It covers for example dealing with different aggression cycles, multiple dog pack structures and suburban environment impact on human/canine relationships. It also gives the student the skills to discuss training options with the dog’s owner and the skills to plan a training session to suit requirement using a one-on-one format. 

K9 WebSmart Class Instructor (Professional)

This is a necessary module of learning if the student intends to conduct multiple client instruction in a group class format. It will cover business requirements, lesson plans, client retention, solving multiple real time problems in class, assessment methods and record keeping. You will be competent in delivering an exciting obedience lesson to a group of dog owners while managing the different goals and expectations of each client.
