Welcome to The K9 Centre Dog Training Company. By accessing our website, browsing our website or making bookings from our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and fully accept our terms and conditions.


We agree to provide our services to you subject to our terms and conditions. You acknowledge and accept that by using our services you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.

Our Booking Procedure

Bookings can be made by:

  • Phoning 1300 225559 and our Call Centre will have your local trainer return your call and book you and your dog in for one of our training programs. If you are unable to answer your phone your trainer will leave a message and you are most welcome to call their mobile direct and speak with them when it is convenient. Please understand we are a full time dog training business and we do work from 9am to 6pm. If you call and we do not answer we will return your call as soon as possible or the next business day. Sometimes we are in a lesson with another client and can not answer but we will forward the courtesy to you when we re in a lesson.
  • If emailing your request to us at info@k9centre.com.au we will respond and give you information about our dog training programs.

If you are unsure about the charges for any of our programs please contact us using the above means and we will happily clarify the fees for you.

Payment methods accepted
Payment terms are EFT, Online Direct Debit or Cash. We do have a Credit / Debit Card facility which will be available at your lesson. Full payment is required on or before the commencement of the service.


We will refund any monies paid by you should you elect to cancel a service provided that you give us a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to the commencement of the service. If you fail to give us the required notice, then all monies paid to us will be forfeited. Once a service has started no refunds in part or full will be given.

Public holidays and weekends

Services on public holidays and weekends are dependent on availability.

Vaccinations and treatments

All dogs must have current vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and in summer it is advisable that you have a tick prevention in the the summer months. If you are doing a boarding and Training Program with us we must have a copy of your current vaccination.


We are not responsible for picking up any excrement left by your dog prior to or at the commencement of our services in a public place. If we are training in a public area please make sure you bring with you dog poo bags. All dogs need to be onlead by law and registered.

Wet weather

It is advisable to wear suitable clothing closed in shoes as surfaces do get slippery in these conditions as well.

Special Requirements

Should your dog have any special requirements about which we need to be aware, please let us know.


You agree to release us, our trainers, agents and employees from all liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to your dog while in the care of, or being transported by, or being directly supervised by us, our trainers, agents and employees.

Your Dog Training Lesson

What to bring to your dog training lesson

  • Your Family Members
  • Your current Dog Training Equipment
  • Your dog’s favourite toy
  • Acceptable Collar and Lead

Acceptable Collars

  • Flat Collars (Buckle or Snap Lock variety)
  • Martingale collar
  • A Flat leather or cotton (no Chain) dog lead
  • Please DO NOT have your dog on a choke chain (also called check chains), halti, harness, electric shock collar, citronella collar or prong collar.

Feeding your dog before its lesson

Do not feed your dog before his/her prior to its lesson. If you feel it necessary to give your dog some food prior to our consult  give him/her no more than 1/3 of their usual meal.

How to Dress

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Enclosed, non-slip footwear is necessary for safety reasons if we are working outdoors.


We welcome children in our consults and encourage them to participate. We are committed to child safety around dogs and will teach your children how to safely interact with dogs. However; if your child is likely to get bored during our lesson then it is essential you have activities ready for them to keep them occupied while we talk and demonstrate exercises. We will NOT train any child at any age ( even 17 yr of age) if they are not willing to participate or learn. If you would like your children to participate you must also attend as well and fully committed if you expect your them to do the same.


You should not exhaust your dog but you may want to take him/her for a short walk or play a brief game of fetch. Please talk to your trainer about this on their arrival if you are unsure.

Late Arrivals

We do realise that we do not live in a perfect world and things do happen so please communicate with our trainers to avoid any late or forfeited lessons. Please ensure you are at home or arrive and ready for your consult at the time of your booking. If you are not home or turn up at the time your booking is supposed to begin we cannot stay longer to make up for this time. We will wait for 30 minutes before leaving – if this happens your full consult fee will be forfeited and you will need to rebook. It is advisable to please contact us via phone call, message or SMS.

Bad Weather, Traffic Conditions and Trainer Illness

It is sometimes impossible to hold consults in bad weather or if traffic conditions are impossible to navigate due to an accident or weather. ( We will advise you via phone, SMS or EMAIL when consult are required to be rescheduled as early as possible before your consult. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE PROVIDED US WITH YOUR MOBILE TELEPHONE NUMBER.

If your trainer is seriously ill or experiences a personal emergency and is unable to attend your consult. You will be notified via phone as early as possible.

If your consult is rescheduled due to inclement weather or instructor illness/emergency we will be in contact with you to rearrange a suitable replacement booking. It is important that you take this into account when enrolling since refunds will not be offered in this case.


The Client acknowledges that with any sort of dog training there may be an activity in which could cause injury to dog(s) and/or persons. This is not from what we do to your dog but what a dogs reaction may be for example redirection towards you or another dog. You the Client will assume full financial/moral responsibility for the actions of their dog(s). The Client further acknowledges that dog(s) may be exposed to a variety of environmental conditions which include, but are not limited to, vehicular traffic, interaction with people and other animals, exposure to adverse weather, and exposure to areas with crowds and all types of traffic.

I/We Client agree that I, my/our heirs, assignee’s and legal representatives will not make claim against, sue, or attach the property of the consultant, her family, acquaintances, or any other person acting on her behalf (herein referred to as ‘Her Agents’), for injury or damage done to or by dogs(s) resulting from action or negligence, however caused, by Consultant or Her Agents. I/We Client forever release Consultant and/or Her Agents from any and all liability and demands which I/We Client, and my/our heirs, assignee’s and legal representatives may have or may hereafter have for injury or damage to or by dog(s), and assume all risks thereof.

Client and Consultant hereby agree to mediate and/or arbitrate any misunderstandings that may arise pursuant to the terms contained herein. In any action or proceeding arising out of the agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reimbursement of costs and legal fees.

This contract for Training Services supersedes all other agreements, written or oral, previously made between Client and Consultant.

Acknowledgment and acceptance of terms and conditions

By accessing, browsing or using this Web Site, you agree to these terms, conditions and disclaimers as amended from time to time (“Terms & Conditions”) and acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions. By purchasing an item from this Web Site you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The K9 Centre Dog Training Company may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any amendment will be effective immediately. Your continued use of this Web Site after any amendment becomes effective constitutes an agreement by you to abide and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as so amended.

Force Majeure

A party is not liable under these Terms for non-performance caused by events or conditions beyond that party’s control. This provision does not relieve Customer of its obligation to fulfill payment obligations.

Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

The K9 Centre reserves the right to change, any aspect of its Terms and Conditions from time to time and any amendment will be effective immediately.

Once these Terms and Conditions are accepted they are irrevocable and cannot be amended without the written consent of The K9 Centre. In the event there is more than one party as a Customer to these Terms and Conditions, all Customers will be jointly liable for the Terms and Conditions.
